The fish and chips was really light and crispy, not greasy. You could taste the fish right away. We really enjoyed it. We didn't love the grilled sole as much but we'd return for the fish and chips.

We had a fantastic evening here. Ryan, our server went above and beyond to make us have the best night possible. Also, a special birthday treat was organised by the waitress which was such an amazing addition. I would highly recommend.

Great food and staff as always…seems to have extended to 3 dining areas since we went last. The ‘outside’ balcony definitely has less buzz and requires active heating

The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered a few starters, and they were flawless. For the main course, we chose cod fish and chips, which were very fresh. The portions were generous, and everything was beautifully presented.
The staff was warm, friendly, and attentive, making sure we felt well taken care of throughout our visit.
The beautiful and cozy interior added to the experience, making it even more enjoyable and memorable.
This is definitely a place worth visiting, and I highly recommend it!

There’s truly nothing bad I can say about this restaurant. I’ve been a few times now, and I can confidently say I’ll probably go back whenever I’m in Bath! The staff are so attentive and lovely and the food is to die for!

Very very tasty! I had a fish and chip style gurnard and the mussels. The sauce with the mussels was amazing and very fresh.
The service was decent but a little bit slow at times ( it was quite busy).
Overall I highly reccomend if you dont mind paying a bit more for a good fish and chips experience

Fish and Chips was as expected. Good quality and tasty fish. Chips weren't seasoned and the salt shaker on the table barely let any out. Tartare sauce and Aioli were very good. Other dish was Skate wing which was also good. We did end up waiting at least 45 minutes for food but they gave us complimentary drinks to make up for it

An exceptionally good fish restaurant! I had the winged skate which was something really special. The selections of wines were very good, too. The oysters were very expensive for what they were which ruined things a little and the side dishes were also tiny. However the service was lovely as was the atmosphere.

We loved The Scallop Shell!! Particularly want to mention how brilliant the staff were. Everyone we communicated with was so friendly & attentive and the food was delicious.

We ate the shared platter for two. Out. Of. This. World. Delicious red mullet, hake, monkfish tails, juicy scallops, mussels and huge langoustines, the largest I've eaten. All beautifully cooked with chips that on the day we were able to have more of, without charge. The fennel salad that accompanied this dish was exquisite. Just right.
This was the most wonderful lunch I've ever eaten, bar none.
Delightful service from enthusiastic servers, knowledgeable and friendly. Our server advised us that the sharing platter is not always on the menu and dependant on what is bought from the Newquay fishermen.
Run, don't walk, (you absolutely have to book) to this outstanding restaurant. Our visit entirely justified our day trip from Cardiff, although not intentionally the focus of the day. Fabulous.

Delicious sea foods! I loved everything I got - from the fish and chips to the whole crab, white prawns, fishcake, and scallops! Definitely worth the visit. The chairs were only a bit inconvenient as it was difficult to put my jacket and bag on it, but overall a great place. I was able to take a look at how the chef was taking and managing orders, and I can say everyone was very professional.

Been here thrice everytime we go to Bath. Loved the scallops and fish and chips. Friendly staff. Indoor seating is better during cold weather so reserving in advance is advisable.
